Privacy Policy

Your files and your data belong to you. This policy explains exactly what we collect, what we don't, and why freetoolzhub is private by design.

The short version

Almost every tool runs entirely inside your browser. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, are not stored, and are never sold. We keep only minimal, anonymous analytics to keep the site running.

1. Overview

freetoolzhub ("we", "us", "our") provides free, browser-based file tools at this website (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the Service. By using freetoolzhub, you agree to the practices described here.

We designed the Service around a simple principle: the best way to keep your data safe is to never receive it in the first place. Wherever technically possible, processing happens locally on your device.

2. Your files

The overwhelming majority of our tools — including PDF, image, text, developer, and conversion tools — process your files entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. In these cases:

  • Your file never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us.
  • We cannot see, access, copy, or store the contents of your file.
  • When you close or refresh the tab, the file is cleared from memory automatically.

A small number of optional, clearly-labelled features (for example certain AI tools) may need to send your input to a processing service to function. Where that is the case, it is stated on the tool itself, the data is used only to return your result, and it is not retained afterward.

3. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, address, or payment details to use any tool.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated data such as which tools are popular, browser type, approximate region, and general performance metrics. This helps us improve the Service.
  • Log data — standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) generated for security and reliability, retained for a limited period.

Information you provide

  • Contact messages — if you email us or use a contact form, we receive what you send so we can reply.
  • Newsletter — if you subscribe, we store your email address until you unsubscribe.

4. Cookies & local storage

We use a minimal set of cookies and browser local storage to make the Service work and remember your preferences, such as your light/dark theme choice. We may use privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; the tools will continue to function.

5. Advertising

freetoolzhub is free to use and may be supported by advertising. Third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve ads relevant to you. These partners operate under their own privacy policies. You can usually control ad personalization through your Google account settings or your device's advertising preferences.

6. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of reputable third parties for hosting, content delivery, and analytics. These providers process data only to deliver their service to us and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

7. Data security

The Service is served over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because most processing happens on your device, the most sensitive data — your files — is never exposed to transmission or server storage in the first place. For the limited data we do handle, we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we work to minimize what we hold and how long we hold it.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we store so little, most requests relate only to contact messages or newsletter subscriptions. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
